Prestashop 9 just released, and I've seen devs be less and less willing to remake themes and modules because Prestashop decides to remake the entire thing again and again, but with newer bugs. I'd recommend to not update to Prestashop 9 as not even Prestashop 8 is fully functional nor the module devs are that eager to work on 8 even, less on 9.
