In ETS Super Speed under "Image optimization" there is the following setting:
"Change file extension to .webp for product images when converting?"
This setting is disabled by default.
What's the reason for not use .webp as extension in a webp-image?
If a browser doesn't support .webp, it doesn't seem to display the image by just change the file extension to .jpg.
So I guess there is some other reason.
I work on a solution so all product images can be in webp-format, and then have a fallback for old browsers that doesn't support webp-format.
And if all images, regardless format, use the extension .jpg the fallback I have created so far, doesn't work.
