Hello. It is definitely worth of purchase. I am a gammer and I played in Civ 3, Civ 4 etc. And I can say it is better than Civ 6 and it is awesome game. If you liked Civ 6 you will much more like Civ 7 
I consider Civ 5 to be the best of Civilizations. I didn't like the concepts of Civ 6 at all. The game is clearly unfinished so far, and it's worth waiting before buying, but if there developing mostly Civ 6 ideas in there, it doesn't seem like a good idea to me.
