is there somewhere the possibility to try it in the back end ?

As far as I know, there is no live demo Prestashop site with the possibility to try it in the back end, but you just have to create a Prestashop on local host and give it a try

Due To PrestaShop 1.7 new architecture , Product Page editor and custom module add from pop up is removed, we will try to implement in the future released.

Not sure if problems have been cleared in new version
