Regarding Advanced Tag module, SEO Meta Tags Manager module is a great one.

As about Serch FIlter module, personally, I use Advanced Search 4, and it work like a charm

I'm looking for a product tag filter and in Advanced Search 4 did not find 'just a product tag' filter
May be easier to 'rework' a bit the basic Prestashop 'blocktags' module. It works on 1.7.x just changing compatibility constrain.
and it seems a good solid start for a simple (single term) tag search.

Yes, I remember this Block Tags "Turning Ball" at the time from PS 1.4... the effect was done by javascript.

The Block Tags don't exist officially on PS 1.7 (with many others things, like customers reviews), but if you need, I have a Block Tag "custom" from PS 1.6 which work fine on PS 1.7.x

To get the text inside a graphic "tag" icon, it's easy to do that with CSS...
