v1.7x-v8x-v9x v1.0 Replace to WebP Module: Speed Up Your Shop and Boost Your SEO

Hi ! This is a fork of JprestaSpeedPack, which completely isolates the on-the-fly conversion from JPEG to WebP (while choosing the desired quality, with a preview), with the addition of an option to force the extension if a host has issues detecting browser compatibility.
I tried many webp support modules, but this is the only one that met my expectations. None of the others were useful to me; I only wanted this feature.
The big advantage is that it is completely painless to use. Installing/uninstalling it will have no impact and will not delete/overwrite your original images.

I hope you find this module, which is not available anywhere else, useful. I have also included instructions on how to modify the .htaccess file if your host's restrictions cause problems, as well as technical documentation on how the module works.

Tested only on Prestashop 1.7.x, please report about Prestashop 8.x and 9.x


Note : if you have the JprestaSpeedPack module installed on your prestashop, you must uninstall it before installing this fork.

¡Hola! Esta es una bifurcación de JprestaSpeedPack, que aísla completamente la conversión instantánea de JPEG a WebP (al elegir la calidad deseada con una vista previa), e incorpora una opción para forzar la extensión si un host tiene problemas para detectar la compatibilidad con el navegador.
Probé muchos módulos de soporte webp, pero este es el único que cumplió mis expectativas. Ninguno de los demás me resultó útil; solo quería esta función.
La gran ventaja es que es completamente indoloro de usar. Instalarlo o desinstalarlo no tendrá ningún impacto y no borrará ni sobrescribirá las imágenes originales.

Espero que este módulo, que no está disponible en ningún otro lugar, te resulte útil. También he incluido instrucciones sobre cómo modificar el archivo .htaccess si las restricciones de tu host causan problemas, así como documentación técnica sobre su funcionamiento.
