If template have spam links, they won't be usually in index.php but in some "view", like in category articles or something less obvious. When checkingfor infected codes, always watch for file change dates, if just a few files are newer than the rest, that's big red flag.

If anyone need help about Joomla, would be nice to have one thread, like Addons and Templates, for users to help each other and cooperate. Maybe mod or admin could do something about it?

Would be ok, but only if it's fairly small number of nullcash for some reasonable price. Buying a lot of them too cheap would mean that no one have to share anything, just drop few dollars and can download all he wants. I would not mind such a deal, but forum might be killed by that. Or, maybe...

If it's a small crash, go to PHPMyAdmin, try disabling extensions one by one, untill your backend and front end reappear. In some 30% of crushes it works. Tested on some 20-30 upgraded websites.

YooTheme Pro... YooTheme templates have builder included. What ever website I did in that, in J3, with simple template upgrade is ready for upgrade to J4.

This tool is really useful in combination with MightySites. Gives you ability to have multiple websites from same source, and have different keywords, for SEO.

SEBLOD works bit better than Fabric, but it's pain in the ass to make it both work and look nice, if using Yootheme templates. Although there is some plugin for integration with Yootheme Pro templates, never checked it out.

You can export VM tables into CSV from PHPMyAdmin, with bit of help of text editor and excell. 1670007774 But one important note, if you have enough products to skip manual export/import, not sure if Woo Commerce will work well. Joomla + Virtuemart tends to work much better with large datasets.

For J1 to J3 upgrade I used Vmupgrade, as it was called then, from company DayCounts. And yeah, it worked, on several occasions. For other components it was necessary to use PHPMyAdmin.
