I tried many other upgrade modules, but nothing worked. But this one worked perfectly and upgraded Prestashop 1.6 to latest 1.7.x version without any errors. Make sure to uninstall all 3rd party and unnecessary modules, and just keep important modules to upgrade successfully. You should uninstall the modules before upgrading to avoid any potential errors, and simply install them again after upgrading.
