Best Forum Plugin for WordPress in 2023

Currently there are only three Wordpress forum plugins that works well.
1. wpForo: this is the most powerful one,
2. bbPress: this is the most popular one, but it's very limited and doesn't have modern layouts and design,
3. Asgaros: Most light one.

wpForo is the best choice for sure.

There are some bridges, or used to be, like SMF - WP or WP - vBulletin bridge.

bbPress has the most users i think, so it has the best comunity.
