it was caused by wrong set of plugins! But the idea that repeated on another forum to downgrade php is a great one - it solved lot of problems and allowed to run couple of other themes. So - thanks!

damn. it was Veronica, theme but not Violet. I should fix it by manually both for v4 and v8

cant run Violet on v8 with all plugins and with no plugins. and Violet has some formatting bugs but works fine
