Do you know what the difference is on the latest version, I think its probably a very minor change so renewing my subscription doesn't seem worth it at the moment?

Honestly, I don't know, but I can't get working filters on 1.8.9, the "Enable as DJ-Catalog2 Filters" is absent. How about yu? Do you have this option in section -> advanced?

No I don't see that option either, I don't use filters so never really looked for it before. There are some built in DJ layouts in YT Pro with filters added to them, do they work OK? I checked one out and in the section where the filters were, there was no advanced option ticked so maybe you don't need that anymore?

Without that option filters won't work, the section must be defined as "form" with that feature. The elder version (1.8) does have it...
You could get working filters only by using the "Full Filter" component

Yes, I could try it on a localhost. To which available quickstart are you referencing? Because, I haven't seen quickstarts with DJ-Catalog2, as for example DJ-EcoFood is still unavailable...

Here is the fashion store quickstart. Load that up. You have to install YT Pro afterwards as its not included in the quickstart. You could then see how they make their sites work.
