your post hits right in the feels! I've spent countless hours on CoD and CS:GO, and Overwatch's unique heroes always kept things fresh. The DOOM reboot? Pure adrenaline. Each of these games really shaped the FPS world in their own way. Good times, man, good times!

I’ve been playing shooters for years, but CS2 got me hooked again mostly because of the skin game. It’s cool that you can actually sell cs2 skins for real money instead of just collecting them. I scored a decent skin drop last week and flipped it pretty fast. Makes grinding matches feel a bit more worth it.

I grew up on Call of Duty up until Black Ops 3 I used to own every single edition and played them regularly until the release of the next one. The one I played the most was Call of Duty 4 (Modern Warfare) mainly because it came out at a time where my PC hardware was phenomenal at the time and I was hooked on the Modded side of it, not much the others where I had to settle for some blur and lower resolution. I grew apart from COD because it became just more of the same.

From Battlefield side of things I only remember playing Battlefield 1942, great game, ahead of its time, I loved playing Medic in the game and overlooking the war from all angle on a defensive standpoint.

In terms of Valve I've had Steam since 2004, my dad bought every Half-Life as they were coming out and I watched him play them growing up, at some point we bought the Orange Box, so he could play one of the games, which left me with a library of Uninstalled games I ended up trying through out 2006+, every Counter-Strike from 1.6 to Condition-Zero, later on I had a huge era on Source where I found great communities: Zombie Mod, Surf, Soccer Mod, Jailbreak, BHop, WCS, Build Wars... (You name it I played it growing up for sure). I had a great time with Team Fortress 2 also, a few years before it went Free to Play, but also as it became Free to Play, great game, also great mods for that one. Had a small era on Garry's Mod because it was great and it had something Source didn't have at the time, which was Dark RP, growing up on MMORPGs that's the closest to an open world we had from a Source based game yet. Later on I got on the Global Offensive hype when it came out, same thing, got into Competitive at the start getting the rank up, then went fully into the community server side of things, had a few years of skins and market interaction, with a humble $1000 inventory of only trading skins up between 2013-2015, before all the trade restrictions came up, then played on and off until maybe 2019.

Honorable mentions growing up: Crysis, Unreal Tournament, Doom, Quake, Sniper (Franchise), Farcry (1 and 2), Shootmania, Fear (1 and 2).
