how to calculate ebitda? Start with your company’s net income and increase it by the interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization to get the EBITDA value. You do this by using the formula:
To get EBITDA, add Net Income to Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization.
Using this method helps give a better idea of the company’s profits from its operations. EBITDA takes out non-operating costs and choices made by accountants so that you can see how well the business does in its main profit areas. It is used a lot in financial analysis, largely for assessing different companies in different industries and with diverse capital.
