You can manually import MBOX to Apple Mail using its built-in import feature. Here’s how to do it:
  • Open Apple Mail on your Mac.
  • Click on File > Import Mailboxes.
  • Select Files in MBOX format and click Continue.
  • Browse to the location of your MBOX file, select it, and click Choose.
  • The mailbox will be imported and shown under the "On My Mac" section in Apple Mail.

This method works well if you have MBOX files already available and you’re using Apple Mail on a Mac system.

Apple Mail doesn’t directly support all MBOX files—especially those exported from third-party apps like Thunderbird, Entourage, or Eudora. Manual import methods often fail, break formatting, or fail to include attachments. Try the third-party BLR Tools MBOX converter tool. Users can quickly and safely import MBOX files into Apple Mail without data loss or technical hassle. This tool can easily convert all MBOX files into Apple Mail accounts without any problems. Both technical and non-technical users can easily use this application to import MBOX email data into PDF format. Get the free demo edition to learn more about the software.
