Version 3.10 was made as an upgrade to 4.0

make sure full backup 1st.
if you have some plugins installed, there is many issues wih J4.
Click Components > Joomla Update.
Select Joomla Next from the drop-down for Update Channel.

It depends on the plug-ins you have : if they are already updated to work with Joomla 4, then you should try the upgrade. But if some of them are'nt, you should better wait !

to upgrade from joomla 2.5 to joomla 3 its only one click but from joomla 3.x to joomla 4 we have to check pre request
