Hi Everyone,

Would you recommend upgrading to Joomla 6 now, or waiting until extensions and updates fully stabilize? Any experience so far would be appreciated. Thanks!

I would wait at least 6 months. It's one thing to jump from 4.4.14 to 5.4.2, but Joomla 6 is still under development and there will be components you won't be able to use. Best regards and Happy New Year.

I have upgraded to J6. Works fine. 95% of components and plugins I use are J6 compatible. Even those that did not release any new update work fine on my J6 sites.

I did a month ago on a full e-commerce site and love it. A couple things still require backwards compatibility plugin enabled but not for much longer.

It depends on what kind of website it is, are there components, modules, templates? If it's pure Joomla, feel free to upgrade, if it's a component, module, template, it has to be checked and I'm not in a hurry with that.
