Lol, still running 3 since most components don't work in heigher versions. Time to rethink the sites strategy and maybe move away from Joomla.

Joomla 5 has been around for a few years now, so a new update wouldn't hurt.
But it's a bit of a drag to wait for updates for the new CMS.
Is there an approximate release date?

Joomla 6 will require PHP 8.3 minimum. I think, Joomla 6 is just a number for version. Most of administrators will not notice any difference like between Joomla 4 and 5

I think wordpress is more popular than Joomla, but I love Joomla to.

There some extensions for that use, like Gutenberg in WordPress. From Joomla Extension Directory (JED) you can look up for tag "OnePage Design extensions", you will find many alternatives. I'll be up to you for your final choice!

You're right, but it would be good if Joomla had its own page builder.
