Here’s a tip that many PrestaShop users don’t know: you can significantly speed up your Back Office by disabling real-time notifications and statistics.
Go to: Advanced Parameters → Administration → Notifications
And disable:
“Check for updates automatically”
“Show notifications for new orders”
“Show notifications for new customers”
“Show notifications for new messages”
Why this helps:
Every time you open the Back Office, PrestaShop runs extra queries to check for new orders, messages, updates, etc. On stores with lots of data or on shared hosting, this can noticeably slow down the panel.
Disabling these notifications doesn’t affect the store’s functionality, it just stops the automatic checks and can make your Back Office feel much faster.
