Basic features:
Specify the number of products to mark as new,

Select a category (or all),

Manual launch from the admin panel,

Automatic exclusion of already new products (date_add in the last X days),

Scheduler (CRON) with a security token,

Change log: when and how many products were changed.

I'm sharing my module that allows you to randomly set products as new. This is helpful when you don't regularly add new products to your store.
