Hi friend. I'm not fully agree with you.
All modules from themes (I am talking only about themes from PS market) are regular modules. Yes in most cases these modules are broken in other themes but compatible with all themes. Usually their modules need little modification: setuping right hooks and doing some corrections with a Smarty template(.tpl) with the right style from your current theme.
For example

Bon Image slider from Gadget theme.

- register regular hook displayHome
- uncommenting js code which for default had loading from theme

But if we talk about contributions on our forum - who simply post modules from the theme usually are cheaters.
