I see it’s been a while since this was posted, but I wanted to ask—has anyone here tested outbound CLI override on newer wholesale SIP providers? I’ve noticed some have stricter checks now. Curious if people are still pulling it off via IP-auth trunks or using other tricks like P-Asserted-Identity headers. Would love to hear what’s working in 2024 with all the STIR/SHAKEN stuff cracking down.

For me, using a cloud call center setup made things way easier to manage. It let me control outbound caller ID settings more freely without messing with custom SIP headers. I had a similar setup and ran into issues until I figured out that my sip provider was restricting custom caller ID unless I verified the numbers first. Once I added them to the control panel and waited for approval, the spoofing part worked fine. Some sip provider setups also strip or overwrite the FROM header, so you gotta check what your configs say and what the provider allows.
