Depends what you need. For checkout it is onepagecheckout (ETS or different). It helps much to convert visitors to customers because they can buy faster and have less time to think.
Also very usefull module will be XML feeds Pro if you want to make any ads - you will need products feed. And it is very good module for it.
Also Super Speed and SEO module - if you want to be good ranked in google your website must be fast and with good SEO and Keywords. Those modules will help with it.
If you do dropshipping you will have catalogue of products in CSV or something like that. To easy import it very good will be: Easy Import Products - ELEGANTAL.
Also if you are from EU you have to had omnibus directive in your store so there is module: Compsoul Omnibus.
And I can give you more but have to know what kind of store it is. What do you need. What you will be doing with it.

Hi, thanks for the explanations. It will be dropshipping at the beginning, later repackaging of items — specifically in the automotive industry, selling spare parts. Some of the modules you mentioned seem, in my opinion, a bit outdated — for example, the first one.
