Wordpress is easy to use and have plenty of plugins what you my need in your shop, but is not designed for too many items in shop.

Right now we're working with prestashop but struggle with the SEO, as it seems that it lack some important features, we've around 1000 products? Would you say the path to extend prestashop with modules is the right one? Also we're no seo experts, so not sure if realy prestashop is the root reason?
