It depends on your taste. Prestashop 1.7 is based on Symfony. Some like that. Others see only extra code that is an extra source of bugs and of incomprehensible error messages.
If you prefer the Prestashop 1.6 stability you might choose Thirty Bees. It is a PS 1.6 fork that has been further stabilized and made compatible with PHP 7.4.
